This was a funnnnn day! We did an engagement shoot back in September and I just love this couple so much.
My favorite part of the day was watching all the kids run around. They were on a farm, having the time of their lives, in matching outfits. There were 3 four year old boys who were so well behaved and had so much fun!
The oldest son of the groom gave a speech that straight up roasted his dad and it was epic. Everyone was in tears of laughter! For being a pretty big wedding, the vibe was lowkey. These two have been together and been through a lot- with kids from previous relationships and a fairly recent death in the family, it was important to capture the full spectrum of emotions. These two have been intertwined for a while and they’ve dealt with a lot of stuff that traditionally comes with marriage. In my eyes they’ve been “married” for a long time. It re-iterated to me the importance of taking the time to celebrate your union when so much of life together is spent helping each other through tricky or tough circumstances. This day just got to be about their love. A true celebration of how they work together, plan together, and go through life together. What a joy to capture that kind of deep, unconditional love.
